AuraSync ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the AuraSync mobile application.

By using AuraSync, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Account information — email address and username when you create an account
Aura data — the text you enter to generate your aura and the resulting aura label, colors, and meaning
Social data — friend connections you choose to make within the app
Device information — device type and operating system for app functionality
Advertising data — anonymized identifiers used to serve relevant ads via Google AdMob

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and maintain the AuraSync service
Sync your aura with friends in your Circle
Display your aura on your iOS home screen widget
Send you relevant in-app advertisements via Google AdMob
Improve and personalize your experience
Respond to support requests

Data Storage

Your account and aura data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Advertising

AuraSync uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalized ads based on your interests. On iOS, you will be asked for permission to track your activity across apps (App Tracking Transparency). You may decline this permission and still use the app — you will simply receive non-personalized ads.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:

With friends you add — your aura label, colors, and descriptor are visible to accepted friends in your Circle
Service providers — Supabase (database), Google AdMob (advertising)
Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect our rights

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at the email below, and we will delete your data within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

AuraSync is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and data
Opt out of personalized advertising via iOS settings

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
